From Cassie:

The wounds of a painful childhood can last long into adulthood, challenging our ability to manage our emotions, care for our bodies and build healthy relationships. We may feel that we lose control of our responses, only to feel guilty or shameful later. In therapy, we learn that the way we act or respond is a reflection of how we feel inside. Often, there are needs that have gone unmet. Together, we can explore how to meet these needs in ways that are aligned with your values and goals for your life.

My role is to help you understand your reactions with compassion, while expanding your options regarding how you feel, think and respond to the inevitable stressors of life. I take an eclectic approach, drawing from mindfulness-based approaches, psychodynamics, attachment theory, compassion-focused therapy, polyvagal theory, internal family systems, expressive arts, and yoga therapy. Once you have an understanding of why you are struggling, we can explore how to build the life of your dreams step by step.

I see adult clients of all gender expressions and sexual identities, as well as clients with a wide variety of neurodivergence. I specialize in supporting survivors of child abuse and neglect, sexual violence, and exploitation. I frequently support clients experiencing grief, burnout, chronic stress, and anxiety.
