Joanne Tucker

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MACP, she/her

Life can feel like a constant balancing act—between work, relationships, family, and all the invisible tasks that fill our days. In the midst of this, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself and the deeper sense of meaning you long for. Therapy can be a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. Joanne takes a somatic and integrative approach to therapy, recognizing that our struggles don’t just live in our thoughts and emotions, but also in our bodies and nervous systems. With over a decade of experience in coaching and somatic work, Joanne brings both professional training and embodied practice to my psychotherapy approach. Joanne works with individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, relationship and attachment concerns, boundary challenges, and life transitions such as new motherhood.

From Joanne:

Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m a woman in my early 40s, a mother, a loud laugher, and someone who is endlessly curious about people and the worlds we build around ourselves. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a life coach, and that background continues to shape my warm, collaborative, and growth-oriented approach.

I believe each of us has the capacity to heal, adapt, and move toward a more meaningful and connected life, though sometimes we need support to access those parts of ourselves. My goal is to offer a space that feels safe, compassionate, and free from judgment, where you can better understand yourself, build on your existing strengths, and develop tools that genuinely fit your life. I see you as the expert of your own experience, and I work collaboratively to tailor therapy to your unique needs, values, and goals.

My work is grounded in somatics, nervous system support, and EMDR. I take a holistic approach that considers the emotional, mental, relational, and physiological impacts of stress and trauma. Together, we explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck or disconnected and work toward creating greater safety, resilience, flexibility, and self-trust. I support clients navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, self-worth, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and nervous system overwhelm.

I am particularly passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves more deeply and move toward the lives they want to inhabit.

My approach is deeply human, relational, and affirming. I strive to create a space where people feel seen, respected, and able to show up as their full selves. My lived experience includes grief and loss, trauma, chronic illness, neurodivergence, disability, and major life transitions, all of which continue to inform my empathy and understanding in the therapy room.

I offer free 15-minute consultations if you’d like to connect and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
