Raphaela Platt

BCS, MS, MA, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (she, her)

Raphaela cultivates a holistic approach to therapy that honours the dignity and uniqueness of each person. Therapy can be a space for healing—whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or life transitions—as well as a safe place to consider growth, purpose, and new beginnings. In her work, Raphaela explores emotional experiences, thought patterns, bodily awareness, mindfulness, self-compassion, self-identity, and the impact of past experiences—all at your own pace.

From Raphaela:

Hello and Welcome! I cultivate a relaxed, compassionate and calming space that seeks to support you on your authentic life journey. I have a holistic approach to therapy, one that welcomes your full humanity—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual—and I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

I cultivate a space for individuals to reflect on their inner experiences of life’s challenges and obstacles, like anxieties, depression, self-compassion, self-identity, thought patterns, emotional regulation, social connection, and bodily awareness. I also nurture a healing space to reflect on wounds, like traumas, difficult transitions, relational hurts, and grief.

My approach integrates multiple modalities of evidence-based therapy, such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), attachment theory, narrative theory, strength-based theory, trauma theory and solution focused theory. In addition, if you are interested, I also welcome the use and exploration of creative expressions such as writing, visual art, music, and imagery as tools for deepening insight and ways of processing life experiences. These creative approaches can be an avenue to access parts that words alone sometimes cannot reach. My focus in sessions is to work collaboratively with you and be centered on your unique needs on your healing journey.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and a professional member with the CCPA. My educational journey includes completing a Bachelor of Catholic Studies from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College in 2018. Later, I completed my Master of Science in Psychology from Divine Mercy University in 2022, and my Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University Ottawa, which I completed in 2025. I am supervised by Registered Psychotherapist Robyn Plane and provide individual therapy for adults 18 and older.

I seek to walk alongside clients at your own pace to explore new beginnings and uncover the supportive and right avenues to pursue on your personal healing and wellness journey. Being a right fit for you is important to me and so I offer a free 15-minute phone call consultation as a way to connect and get a feeling for if I am the right companion for your personal journey at this time.
