Clinical Supervision

From Tesia:

Hi & welcome! I’m Tesia, Co-Director and Founder of Shine. I bring my full, human self into the therapy room: curious, compassionate, and not afraid to find moments of humour, even in the midst of life’s hardest questions. As a trauma-trained, holistic, & feminist psychotherapist, I help folks navigate anxiety, trauma (PTSD, cPTSD), burnout, stress, women’s health, and ADHD. I'm interested in working with women in leadership and executive roles, specifically navigating challenges in executive functioning, working relationships, occupational stress and fatigue, and burnout.

You can expect warmth, humour, and humanity in our sessions. Our work may draw from ACT, IFS, CBT, and Mindfulness; always in a way that feels aligned with your self. I believe healing happens through connection: being seen and understood in your full complexity. Together, we’ll meet life’s questions with openness, courage, and humour along the way.

I am a graduate from the University of Ottawa's Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology (2018) and am registered in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa (2016), and before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent two years teaching high schools in Ottawa; an experience that deeply shaped how I show up in the therapy room. Teaching taught me patience, adaptability, and the art of meeting people where they are. It also showed me the power of connection, humour, and genuine curiosity in helping others grow. In therapy and in supervision, I bring that same relational approach: guiding, listening, and holding space for learning about the self in order to empower the self towards growth.
