Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), M.Ed., she/her
Therapy can sometimes feel awkward and overwhelming. Cosette’s goal is to show up authentically to break the stigma around mental health and make therapy a natural space for you to express yourself through humour, random thoughts and difficult moments alike. With expertise in working with trauma, anxiety, neurodiversity (ADHD), relationship challenges, identity exploration (2SLGBTQIA+) and substance use health, she offers an eclectic trauma-informed and person-centred approach tailored to each person’s needs, drawing from ACT, DBT, IFS, among many other therapeutic frameworks. Cosette works with both individuals and couples seeking support, in both official languages.
From Cosette:
Healing is hard; it is easy to feel lost and alone. Asking ourselves questions: Where do I start? Is it ever going to get better? My goal is to help you build self-awareness and compassion so you can understand how your life experiences shape your emotions and behaviours. I will walk alongside you with compassion to explore how you navigate the world and your relationships. Together we will explore what barriers and unmet needs prevent you from achieving your goals and maintaining wellness.

I deeply believe that healing does not end in the therapy room. Once we have explored what keeps you stuck, I work collaboratively with you to find goals and tools which you can apply inside and outside therapy. I take a holistic approach, valuing the importance of building supports and exploring community, hobbies and tools which can foster wellness in your everyday life. I will support you in exploring your own strengths, authenticity and values by encouraging new experiences. Sometimes this means sitting together in tears, laughter, mistakes and wins. I aim to build an honest connection with clients, fostered through feedback and authenticity.

I work using a multicultural and intersectional lens to collaboratively meet you where you are and empower you in your goals. My goal is to provide a safe space centred in compassion and safety. In a world full of judgement and stress, deciding to start therapy is not easy -- I am here to honour that choice, work with you on finding ways to feel empowered, and walk alongside you on this journey.
